"Down the street the firefighters go..."

The Kindergarten class visited the Rochambeau fire station today.  When we got to the station, the firemen were out on a call but they soon returned to show us around the station.  We would like to thank our Moms and Grandmom who helped us walk there safely. Also, we will send along a big thank you to the firefighters who made our field trip so much fun!  Thank you, firefighter, Mike!!

Meet our BUDDIES!!!

We had our first meeting with our fourth grade buddies.
We shared favorite picture books and a snack.
We had fun getting to know our new friends.

A day on Casey Farm

We visited Casey Farm and had so much fun! We got to experience what it would be like if we lived on a farm. In a fun learning environment, the students were able to participate in a range of hands-on activities. See pictures below... Thank you to Amy, Grace's mom, for chaperoning our class on this great day!

From learning about the compost pile....
to grinding corn to feed the chickens...
 to pretend milking a "cow"...
to experience how strong the horses must be...
 to watering the vegetable garden...
 to digging up carrots....
 and washing them....
to finally eating them!!

We had so much fun!  Thank you, Casey Farm...
