W-A-T-E-R

The most important thing on our planet!! WATER... At our last meeting with Science Mom, we talked about water. We learned that it freezes and that it floats. We put our hands in really cold water. There was ice floating in it. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr..... On one hand we wore a "blubber glove" and nothing on the other hand. We learned how animals can live and swim in freezing cold temperatures because they have a layer of blubber under their skin.
We also did an experiment with snow.  We had 2 containers of snow.  One was the "control".  The other was the experiment... by adding salt to the snow, we learned how salt breaks the hydrogen bonds which then melts the snow.
Cool stuff!!
